What to Expect

Comprehensive phone or video consultation using the secure encrypted platform Zoom.
Review of your imaging (MRI, CT, etc) and medical records during your visit.
Clear, honest discussion of your diagnosis and treatment options.
Coordination of next steps — including imaging, in-person exams, or surgery if needed.

Prior to the scheduled phone consultation

If you are to receive a phone meeting, please ensure your phone is well charged, you are next to it at the scheduled consultation time and do not move around during the call.

You will be emailed a link, Meeting ID and password for the meeting
Download the Zoom application (click here)
Open the Zoom app, create a free account and familiarise yourself with how it works
Test your microphone (as this is how we will talk)
Test your video (if you would like to be seen in person during the consultation)
Please ensure your Internet connection is stable

At the Time of the Meeting

Open the Zoom application on your phone / iPad / laptop
Click ‘Join Meeting’ icon
Enter the Meeting ID and password you were provided and click ‘Join’
Wait for Dr Russell to accept the meeting

Appointment Fees

Please note that TeleHealth consultations are billed at the same rate as in person consultations
Initial consultation (30 min) with Dr Russell is $390, with a Medicare rebate for $127
Initial consultation (45 min) with Dr Russell is $490, with a Medicare rebate for $127
Review consultation (15 min) with Dr Russell is $210, with a Medicare rebate for $84
Review consultation (30 min) with Dr Russell is $390, with a Medicare rebate for $11
Please note that Medicare rebate amounts change on an annual basis, typically increasing by $2-3 each year, please confirm with reception the current rebate.
